New form of Google Advertising

This is only for those with deeeeeep pocketbooks:

Not only did they get a widget specially made for the Google Personalized homepage, but they have advertising at the bottom of random search results (as shown above). It is also at the very top if you search for a relevant term.

Wonder how much that cost?

My guess is that it costs no more than AdWords. I would imagine the highest bidder gets the best placement, and maybe the ad changes from page to page.

I hadn't considered that they probably paid for that, I just assumed it was some sort of joint venture.

It's most definitely not an Adwords campaign, I'm sure of that.

As Avix said, it's most probably some sort of joint venture. Google does obviously benefit from the deal but I don't think it's an advertising campaign.

I would assume that that would cost a hell of a lot of money. I've only ever seen it in the above instance and not with anyone else. Do you think that this is going to be a new form of advertising on Google that we're going to be seeing more of? It's a shame that Google might clutter their search engine results with advertisements like this.

It seems that google is making the most out of everything but I just hope that they don't overdo it coz competitors are on the way to show they can do better.

THat looks great... but they won't offer it free to plebs like us for sure!... that would have cost plenty... or be part of a revenue share with the big G perhaps??
