Offline classifieds can be very productive provided you have 2 things: An 800 number and a website! In other words, it's a good first leg, but your still need an anchor!
If you do the following, an offline classified ad will do wonders for you:
1) Peek their interest, don't give out too much information. Sometimes words that are totally unrelated to the program work better like the following:
(a) I almost gave up on making money on the internet until I did this!

(b) Free Report: How To Quit Your Job In Thirty Days! call 1-800-xxx-xxxx for details
2) Follow up on your calls immediately. Don't wait too long. People lose interest.
3) Devise your script on what to say and do when you return calls. Don't wing it! You are
screening people and you don't want to waste all day on the telephone with people
who are not going to be active.
4) Follow up on good prospects with a "Thank You" postcard with your name, website and
telephone number. This will give them a written reminder of your opportunity!
These 4 steps are very important in offline classifieds. Bridging the gap between electronic communications and offline activity is key. Remember, you may receive a lot of responses from people who are only beginners when it comes to the internet. However curious they are, there is a learning curve that can cause them to get impatient. Show them what to do on their own playing field first, before they get into something they are completely green with.
