Default Revenue Sharing

What do people think of revenue sharing forums? I've seen a lot more of them springing up lately, but I'm concerned about them - I don't like the thought of putting my adsense code on a site that I'm not responsible for the content of, or the behaviour of the users (What if they clicked the ads like crazy for the sake of it, hoping someone would do the same for them?)

Are they worth it, if they're busy forums, or is the risk of getting your account shut due to things beyond your control too great?

I think its a good idea if its like a close friend. But I dont think I would randomly give mine out.

And yes theres always that risk, and I guess if your willing ot take it then go for it.

Never heard of these before, I will go check them out. Personally I wouldn't take the risk myself.

Lots of places do it - even DigitalPoint has a revenue sharing option for members with more than a certain no of posts. There are blog sites that will host your blog for you and use your adsense for half the time, and theirs for the rest too.

I'm very reluctant to use them, but part of me keeps thinking I'm just being paranoid.

I would say revenue sharing programs and forums are good to get hits and it does increase the click rate.

I've been contemplating doing it here, but I'm a little uneasy about members possibly just clicking ads to make money off this website. Don't you think that it could get abused and that Google might shut off the AdSense account?

Clicking ads isint bad if they are not bulk clicks like 10 clicks in 10 seconds and that would surely cause the google account of particular person to be banned and not the website account banned.

You should contact Google first and inform them that you are starting revenue sharing program, maybe they can help you more on this topic.

Well, on other forums they have it set up so a user never sees their own ads, but I still suspect people might form 'clicking cartels' where people click all the ads they see, and then other people click other ads, in the hopes of catching the ones that are on their friends accounts.

I don't have much joy when I contact Google - they usually just send a link to their faq, or some general but vague statements.

I used to do this about 10 years ago for someone and he eventually did get banned from adsense but he had been clicking his own ads. On my account it wasn't done so much and I still do have my account.
