Which sites are good for advertising that has proven to be very helpful to you and has generated lots of traffic and has converted?

Do we need to find related sites or search engines or what?

Online free ads websites are proven to productive for advertising, local classifieds can be more useful to grab the attention of local visitors.

I wouldn't think any one site would be good. You need to find a way to mass intro yourself. There's some sites out there that do that for you.

Article Marketing is probably the best free method of advertising online. You should consider getting a ghostwriter and writing your own articles. After publishing them, wait a couple of weeks and you should see results.

I think posting on forums really helps you should use good tracking tools to see where your sales are coming from because information is key in this business.

Thanks guys for the info, I have just started using free ad sites and directories. Because I have just started I don't know where it will lead. But I read a post by this fellow and he said 'make a big noise'. In other words don't limit yourself, take advantage of as many advertising tools as you possibly can...

I'm just starting to get my freelance writing site off the ground, so I'm hunting around this site for ideas. So far I've found some great suggestions. (And since I *am* a writer, I won't even have to hire a ghostwriter for the article sites.)

Indeed, writing is a skill that is so in demand in internet based jobs. I also believe that article sites can pull the crowd and generate revenue faster. However, I want to believe that I also need to use other kinds of advertising methods to supplement.
